What does the future hold? This question has fascinated us since the dawn of mankind – because if we know what lies ahead, we might be able to control it. But what if we flipped that question around and asked: What do we want our future to look like? And what can we do to make it happen? At the 2019 me Convention, we examined the current state of the world, created a vision for a better future and uncovered how to bridge the gap.
We welcomed over 140 speakers and 2,200 participants from across the globe for 58 talks and 52 interactive/mentor sessions. We also drank 426 liters of coffee and danced for 17 hours to some of the hottest DJs around.

Three days and nights filled with thought-provoking talks and mentor sessions, hands-on labs and interactive experiences.
For our very first session of the 2019 me Convention, Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton joined computing, mathematics and language prodigy Anne-Marie Imafidon on stage to discuss how to tap into your strengths and understand where you can make the most impact.
Robert Habeck, Chairman of Germany’s Bündnis 90/Die Grünen party, and Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management at Daimler AG, and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars, discussed sustainability strategies, the mobility of the future and the challenges of balancing environmental protection and economic growth. The conversation was moderated by journalist Dunja Hayali.
Everyone had tons of fun rolling up their sleeves and building new skills. Fixing electronics, learning to code, brushing up on public speaking, using design thinking for agroforestry, taking time for self care and visualizing data.
Mentor Sessions are one-on-one coaching with professionals from a variety of industries. There are four one-on-one meetings during the one-hour mentor sessions.

When the sun goes down at the me Convention, it’s time to raise a glass and get your groove on! At this year’s event, we’ve had three nights of fantastic DJs and parties for an experience we won’t soon forget.
September 11: opening night
The historic Festhalle was the perfect backdrop for our opening night! Global DJ phenomenon and new European brand ambassador for smart Alan Walker headlined the party, with Konstantin Sibold warming up the crowd with his mind-bending beats.
September 12: me Convention night
For Thursday’s party, we took the me Convention participants to a top-secret location near the main me Convention venue. The night kicked off with a local act to get everyone warmed up, followed by the irresistible sounds of Moodymann. Straight outta Detroit, he brings his distinctive point of view to the electronic dance scene, blending reworked riffs with classic soul and jazz gems.
September 13: closing party
The final festivities of the me Convention started at the Festhalle ,where we welcomed dynamic duo Âme for a live set of forward-looking house and techno sounds. Next up was Ruede Hagelstein, with deep roots in the Berlin scene. After the Festhalle closed its doors we kept the party going at our off-site location with a DJ set from Âme.
