fast slow disco: annie clark aka st. vincent set to spin

It’s difficult not to worship at the altar of St. Vincent. Annie Clark aka St. Vincent is a Grammy Award-winning musician who explores emotive ballads, upbeat pop arrangements and experimental spaces alike, incorporating postmodern guitar solos and electronic pulses that display a sweetly sinister sensibility. A critically acclaimed top 10 charting artist on both sides of the Atlantic, she has collaborated with artists ranging from David Byrne to LA hip-hop producer Sounwave. Annie Clark aka St. Vincent also recently released her signature Ernie Ball Music Man guitar, and made her directorial debut with a short horror film The Birthday Party. Her latest album, MASSEDUCTION, was released in late 2017 and was The Guardian's Album of the Year, while Jon Pareles of The New York Times named it his #1 album of 2017. MASSEDUCTION has been supported by characteristically thrilling St. Vincent live shows the world over, as well as performances on The Graham Norton Show, Later… with Jools Holland and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Now she’ll be DJing at the Södra Teatern on September 5 – exclusively for me Convention. Unmissable? Understatement. St. Vincent will be the headline act in a night packed full of talent (think: Tall Blonde, Simon Alexander, Adée and Elle Exe) and she’ll be following on from Stockholm locals Ladieslovehiphop’s equally essential set. Arrive early to ensure you snap up a prime spot — we’ll see you on the dancefloor.

We’re thrilled to announce that Annie Clark aka St. Vincent will also be delivering a talk as part of our focus on New Creativity: Find out how music’s most unstoppable innovator finds fresh inspiration and secure your pass today.
